How to find peace in our life

Peace Pilgrim said: "When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others." This is a very profound statement that goes against the common belief that most people espouse which says: "Until everything and everyone around me is peaceful and behaves the way I want them to,  I will not be at peace."

These two statements are diametrically opposite. The first one advocates peace 'within' first, then one can find the peace 'outside'.
The second one advocates peace 'outside' first as a necessary prerequisite for the peace 'within'.

I must admit, growing up and observing my parents reactions to various challenges, I embraced the belief that others around us can , through their adverse behavior and unkind remarks, destroy our peace. There was, of course, blame and finger pointing involved,  which, in turn, made others who witnessed the challenging events or listened to the stories, filled with anger and blame too. Negative emotions spread like wild fire and, once such a fire is started, in a family, in a community or even in a country, it is impossible to contain it. The current outbreak of violence in Libya and Cairo are examples of such a phenomenon.

It is through my personal experience and work with a new energy healing modality, The Emotion Code, that I came to realize that the belief, finding peace within first can lead to finding peace outside of me, is really working. Peace Pilgrim was not only right but she expressed in that sentence the secret to build world peace. This thought is also well said in the famous line of the song: "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."

What was so very helpful to me, in The Emotion Code teachings, training and applications, is the fact that negative trapped emotions are energies in our subconscious that are instrumental in shaping the reality of our life. It is simply put, the law of attraction at work.

Knowing that, how can we make the law of attraction work in our favor? Since like attracts like, the most logical strategy is to remove the negative trapped emotions within us to make room for positive and constructive ones. Most of us long for joy, peace, kindness, understanding,,,yet when events around us unfold, we find ourselves plunging back into exasperation, anger, judgement and scorn. We do the very things we hate to do as if victim to our own negative programming.

The Emotion Code helps to change the negative programming by identifying  and releasing negative trapped emotions that are in the way of our joy and well being. That emotional release helps us not to fall back into the negative patterns as we did before. Once the old programming is gone, we may still witness unpleasant , even annoying situations, but the reaction to them is different. Those events do not destroy our peace. We witness them, yet they don't penetrate our inner heart, our energy field.
It feels good to not be so vulnerable any longer. This is what personal empowerment is about.

If you feel ready to make that step into your own personal empowerment, please contact me for Emotion Code sessions, more precisely, the removal of what Dr. Nelson calls, the heartwall.
