Finding the authentic self

Have you ever wondered how you would feel if there were no limitations, no concepts, no fears or anxieties of any kind?
Have you ever wondered how high you could fly?
How many of us have inspirations, dreams, creative ideas ..but when it comes time to bring them in the realm of reality there seems to be so many obstacles that that bridge never gets crossed.
Memories hold us down too. If we feel inspired, for example, to speak in front of many people about a matter dear to our heart, we may hold ourselves back because  last time we did, there was a weak response or some remark that hurt our feelings. So we may not try again. We close that door, thus we miss opportunities for greater expression and growth. We fall in the rut of self-punishment and self-limitations. How sad is this when we think of all the creative ideas and inspiration the world misses because so many are holding back.

Steve Jobs was an wonderful example of one who crossed the bridge between dreams and reality and did not allow fear or concepts of any kind get in the way. His famous quote says it all:
"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Steve Jobs lived courageously, he lived an authentic life. 'Authentic' means 'true to one's own personality, spirit, or character'. He did not compromise to fit it, he stayed true to himself. He flew high and the world was forever changed thanks to his contribution.

There is a quote I recently ran across that is along the same line: "Be yourself, there is something you can do better than any other. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that."                      Dr Seuss wrote:" " Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You"

This past week-end, I listened to a talk on Feng Shui. It was mentioned how important it is to remove clutter from our home, office space ....in order to make room for the energy to flow. Doing that certainly brings a welcome and beneficial transformation. It feels better, it makes life more pleasant and peaceful. The same goes for our mind. Just think a moment how it would feel if all sabotaging trapped emotions would be cleared, if all that mind/heart clutter was gone how liberating would that be!
Maybe that is what it take to find our vibrant, authentic self again, a good Feng Shuiing of the heart and mind so that we can become who we truly long to be. Doing this will not only benefit us but will enrich the world around us. Only you can bring to the table what is authentically you, no one else in the world can do just exactly like you. That is why your unique contribution is needed.

  2. Thanks Julie for your wonderful comment. I was amazed how well you responded to the Emotion Code session when you had one way back in the spring. I remember noticing that you looked brighter, younger even. It is such an inspiration. You are one of the people who made a believer out of me, seeing you brighten up showed me the great potential of this healing modality.
So keep on shining, girl! And help others do the same!
