Our body is our soul's home, it's its only home.
When we think of 'home', our house comes to mind. We have our primary residence, some have secondary residences, beach houses, etc. As far as our soul goes, our body is its only home: what you see is basically what you get, no 'second residence' option here.
There are many similarities between our body and our house. At first glance, it may not seem so: a house has a lot of empty spaces after all, whereas our body is made of bones, muscles and organs... densely put together.
But let us not be fooled by appearances. On the quantum level, the infinitely small, scientists have now discovered that we are really made of 'empty space'.
To illustrate this point, I would like to invite you to watch Dr. Bradley Nelson's video where he explains this very well in the first 2 minutes of this video:

So our body is made of 99.9999% empty space.
When my children were younger, one of our favorite TV show was 'The Magic School bus' where a very creative imaginary teacher would take her students in a school bus that could become infinitely small to explore different parts of the body on its 'field trip'.
So let's pretend for a moment that we are in that magic school bus, inside the 99.999% empty space of our body. The first question may be: what is this 'empty space' made of? It could not be a vacuum, nature abhors a vacuum, so the only other possibility is: it is made of energy.
Now let's go back for a minute to your house. Have you ever come home and, as you opened the door were greeted by a bad smell, the one of an opened trashcan. In such a case, what would your first reaction be? Open all the windows, get the bad odor out and take care of the source of the problem.
Could our body, or more precisely the energy field in our body be also contaminated by 'bad odors'? We are very familiar with the expression: "he is fuming' (with rage). Although fumes are not coming out of the nostrils, still there is toxic energy in the body. If that is the case, how can it be gotten rid of? There are no windows to open. The only way is to change the energy, calm down, release the anger.
The Emotion Code is a wonderful, fast way to get that done. There are many other ways, of course, but I love the speed at which the Emotion Code can release negative emotion, it is basically instantaneous.
Now let us think , for a minute what happens when negative trapped emotions were allowed to fester in our body over time. How would you feel if you were stuck in a house with malodorous fumes for days, months , years? Wouldn't you get sick? This is exactly what happens to our cells: they get dis-eased.
Here, I would like to invite you to listen to Dr. Bruce Lipton, a well-known biologist when he speaks of the importance of the environment for the health of the cells. He speaks of this around 5 minutes into the interview, if you listen a while longer, around 10' in the interview he talks about the power of the conscious and the subconscious mind.

Dr. Deepak Chopra talks about 'healing at the core. In his book Quantum Healing, Dr. Chopra states: "This core is where healing begins. To go there and learn to promote the healing response, you must get past all the grosser levels of the body-cells,tissues,organs and systems-arrive at the junction point between mind and matter, the point where consciousness actually starts to have an effect."
What is the conclusion to all this information? To maintain health, positive emotions are essential. To regain health, after all the medical treatments are done, working on releasing all the negative, trapped emotions that may have caused the dis-ease in the first place, is a very important part of a lasting recovery. If that is not done, the disease may likely return.

The Gita (a Hindu text) refers to the body as a city with nine gates in which the soul lives. You have compared the body to a house. The analogy is pretty much the same. Nice post though.
